November meeting is at 8:00pm!!
YOU ARE A MEMBER! If you signed up
your child to play a sport with DAA, you are a member! All members are encouraged to attend
the General Membership meetings.
I want to remind everyone our next General Membership meeting is November 18.
This meeting is open to all. We do
ask for a $3 donation to cover the expense of the snacks, beer and pop; this is
a donation and not a requirement to get into the meeting! We do ask you sign the attendance
book as to keep track of who is eligible to vote and run for office. This is the
best way to see how the “off the field” DAA works and what it takes to run this
organization. Although we are always
looking for more help with the behind the scenes responsibilities,just coming to
a GM meeting does not mean you are signing up to do anything. You can come, enjoy a drink, snack
and listen. No strings attached!
I want to thank everyone for volunteering their time as coaches, assistant
coaches, team moms and anyone that helps out!
There are no paid positions in DAA, the more help we get, the less
everyone has to do.
Coordinator and Chairpersons:
We are looking for people to fill a few openings
We need someone to do the maintenance on the baseball fields at Delhi Middle
School and C.O.Harrison.Kurt Mechley and Gary Brummett have done a great job of
running the Golf Outing the last several years; however they want to pass the
torch on…. They are more than willing to show their replacements the ropes. Please let me know if you or anyone
you know is interested in helping out.
Background checks: We do require that anyone in contact
with the kids have completed the online background check. In an effort to save some money, we
have removed the link from the website. Each
background check cost DAA $15. We
have had a lot more people fill out the background checks on line than we have
coaches. We will contact those coaches
and team moms who need to be background checked at a later date.
We will still require this of anyone coming in contact with the kids, i.e.
anyone on the field of play, anyone in the bench areas on the sidelines, any
coach etc…

Tickets are $10 in
advance, $15 at the door.

December General Membership Meeting, This is our annual Night at the Races:
food, drinks, snacks and horse racing!!!

Cold, dark, boring winter Thursdays (3rd Thursday of the month) are a great time
to stop into the Delhi Lodge, have a drink and learn what's happening in the
Delhi Athletic Association. We
encourage everyone to attend. Spread
the word - bring friends, parents of teammates, anyone you'd like even if you
just want to get out of the house for a night.
A lot of information is shared at the meetings and it is also a great way
to meet familiar faces.
Coaches (soccer, baseball, football, cheerleading) - We want to thank everyone
for volunteering! We'd also love to
see more of you at the meetings. It
is your chance to learn more, share ideas or express concerns.
