This meeting is open to everyone. Please consider this your invitation to join us.

WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT // KEN DOLCH

PLEASE NOTE: The September general membership meeting will be held at the Delhi Senior Citizen’s building located on Neeb Rd. and will begin at 8:30.

The Skirt Game Committee will be in attendance at this month's meeting to present the checks to this year's recipients. As announced at last month's general membership meeting, the Skirt Game had it's second highest dollar total ever. In today's economy, that is amazing! It says a lot about our community and their willingness to step up and help others in need especially when many of us are struggling ourselves. With that being said, I would also like to thank the entire committee for all they do all year round. They rest a couple days and get right back to work soliciting donations, volunteers and interviewing recipients. Their tireless efforts help many people in our community who would otherwise have no where else to turn. One of Kind and only in DELHI!!!!!

The Fall Capital Improvements Raffle will take place at this month's meeting.

1st place is $500.00, 2nd place is $300.00 and 3rd place in $200.00. If you are in attendance, you will get your winnings that evening!

The Spring 2010 sign-up dates have been set. They are as follows:

Please note: Delhi Athletic Association will have three scheduled sign-ups for all sports with the 3rd sign-up (Feb. 2) the last and final sign-up. Any sign-up after the 3rd sign-up is considered a late sign-up. Any and all late sign-ups will be placed on a waiting list. Should the late sign-up be placed on a team, the late sign-up will be accessed a $20.00 fee plus all applicable fees. Should your funds not process, there is a $35.00 bounced check fee.

Nominations also continue through this month's meeting. I would ask that before you nominate someone or ask someone to nominate you, that you please keep in mind that these positions are very important to the organization and desire much time and commitment.  We have had individuals voted to the board only to resign because they did not realize the time and commitment these positions require. These positions can be very demanding and require you to make decisions that have an impact on our organization for years down the road.

2nd VICE PRESIDENT // DON JASPER

Again, I want to promote involvement in our organization.  If you have a child that signed up to play sport for DAA, you are a member.  You are invited and encouraged to attend our regular monthly meetings the third Thursday of every month at the Delhi Lodge.  For DAA to grow and meet the needs and desires you, its members, we need input.  The more people involved the better DAA will be!
