Elections will be held at this month's meeting. The meeting does start at 8:30 but the polls will be open at 8:00 pm. They will close promptly at 9:15. Good luck to all the individuals who have been nominated and let's make 2010 another successful year for the youth in our community!
September's monthly meeting was ALL About the Skirt Game. The Skirt Game was a huge success again this year and the recipient's were in attendance to collect their funds. Again, I would like to thank the committee and all those who participated in this terrific event. Without your help the people who need assistance would have no where else to turn to. You do an AWESOME job!!!!!!!! The Skirt Game is always the first Friday in August, so mark your calendars early to attend this One of a Kind event!!!!
The Spring 2010 sign-up dates have been set. They are as follows:
Tuesday, January 12, 2010 6:00-8:30 C.O. Harrison
Saturday, January 23, 2010 9:00-1:00 Delhi Lodge
Tuesday, February 2, 2010 6:00-8:30 C.O. Harrison
Please note: Delhi Athletic Association will have three scheduled sign-ups for all sports with the 3rd sign-up (Feb. 2) the last and final sign-up. Any sign-up after the 3rd sign-up is considered a late sign-up. Any and all late sign-ups will be placed on a waiting list. Should the late sign-up be placed on a team, the late sign-up will be accessed a $20.00 fee plus all applicable fees. Should your funds not process, there is a $35.00 bounced check fee.
Coaches/Coordinators with our Fall Sports programs underway, PLEASE make sure the Parents Code of Ethics and the Coaches Code of Ethics as well as any medical forms needed are signed and turned in by everyone before they take the field.
Also, if you are intending on coaching any team in our organization you must be registered in our background check database. NO ONE will be permitted on the fields coaching the children without having registered in this database. Please contact myself, Tony Hover or the coordinator of the sport you are assisting for more details. Also, if you are unsure of your expiration date check with Tony or myself and we can provide you with that information.

I want to again encourage everyone to attend the general membership meetings. They are the third Thursday of every month at the Delhi Lodge. Everyone is invited; a $3 donation at the door covers Pop, beer, chips and pretzels. This weekend our cheer competition is at GLEN ESTE that’s Sunday, October 11th and the day starts at 9:00 a.m. at Glen Este High School. The 6 year olds thru 10 year olds will be competing.
October 18th is at Oak Hills come cheer the girls on! If anyone would like to volunteer to help please email me at kconroy6@fuse.net we can use the help! Boys, please wear your jerseys, the girls love when you wear them!! They point you out and say “that’s our FOOTBALL BOYS”!!! (OH, and we have to beat Harrison and Glen Este and have more Delhi boys there!!!)
November 1st the girls will be in Goshen for their last competition.
Thanks to all that came up to the Oakhill’s game to root the girls on in their performance with the Oakhill’s cheerleaders. A special Thanks To Coach Fay who brought his whole team with him!!! What a brave man! We saw lots of Parents with their sons in their jerseys thanks to those individuals. The girls really got pumped up to see the boys there! It means a lot to them.

For the teams that end up 1st or 2nd in their division the WASA tournament coaches meeting will be held on Tues Oct 27th at 8pm at St. Dominic. Please bring 3 copies of your SAY Roster with players uniform numbers filled in.
Delhi will be holding the postseason tournament this year for all teams that do not end up in 1st or 2nd place in their respective division.
Dates: Nov 7th,8th and 14th, 15th
Cost: Passers $95, Wings $110, Strikers/Kickers $115
Fields: Rapid Run Middle School, Delhi Park
Their will be a tournament application link off of the WASA website as well as the DAA Soccer website closer to the end of the season.
