WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT // KEN DOLCH

This month's meeting is Hall of Fame Night. This night is all about celebrating the accomplishments and induction's of those individuals who will be placed in our illustrious Hall Of Fame. The DAA Hall of Fame was created in 1965 to honor those individuals who have exceeded in their efforts in helping our wonderful organization and the youth of Delhi Township. The DAA Hall Of Fame currently has 103 members. A complete list of these members and the year of their induction can be found on our website under the Hall of Fame tab. Please plan to attend to what promises to be a very special evening for all of the Hall of Fame members and our newest inductees. We will have an abbreviated meeting so we may celebrate this joyous occasion with our newest members and their families and friends. There will be plenty of Wild Mike's Wings, cold cuts, cold beverages and deserts provided.

SKIRT GAME - Start making plans to attend the 2009 Skirt Game which will be held the FIRST Friday in August, August 7.  Please contact Terry Garrett at 922-9375 if you are interested in playing in this ONE OF A KIND community event.

COACHES- Please make this meeting to give us an update on your teams. The General Membership meetings are informational meetings that give you the opportunity to gloat about your team's success. It is also important to make as many meetings as you can and especially during the season you are coaching in so you do not miss important dates and information discussed by the coordinators.  If you finished 1st or 2nd in your division, please get your team's information to your coordinator. As stated in our by-laws, teams finishing 1st or 2nd in their division receive awards paid for by the association. Speaking of our by-laws- if you do not have a copy, please pick up a copy at the front table when you sign in. They contain lots information on how the organization is run.

With our Spring Sports winding down, I would like to thank all of the coaches and assistant coaches who volunteered their time to teach the youth in our community their perspective sports. The organization and the children appreciate what you do!!!

The 2010 Spring Sign-ups are being scheduled as of this newsletter and will be posted on the website in August.

REMINDER- With our Fall sports programs fast approaching, if you have not gone thru our mandatory background check you need to do so as soon as possible. It is a MANDATORY policy in our organization that all coaches, assistant coaches, team moms and anyone who has contact with our children pass our background check. There are NO exceptions. You can locate the link to the background check information on our website under the Manager's Committee tab. Please feel free to contact myself or Tony Hover if you have any questions regarding this process.
