Our spring sign ups are now complete. I want to thank all the parents that signed their kids up to play sports for DAA. I know our coordinators and coaches are ready to get out and get their seasons under way. If you are interested in being a head coach or being an assistant coach, be sure to contact your sports coordinator. Their contact information can be found on our website, daasports.com.
With spring sports gearing up, their will be a lot of information to be had at our General Membership (GM) meeting. If you sign your child up, you are a member! All are welcome to attend the GM meetings; I encourage you to attend these meetings, especially leading up to and during your sport season.
Our February meeting will be held February 18 at the Delhi Senior Center; this is a change from our usual location of Delhi Lodge. The meeting begins at 8:00 and usually last about one and a half hours. We ask for a $3 donation at the door to cover the snacks and drinks. It is a donation, it is not required!
In my short tenure as President, I have found there is a lot of misinformation out there about DAA and how it operates. Attending these meetings is a good way to get accurate information and to have any questions you have answered.
This is an exciting time for DAA; we are in the process of initiating some new ideas and expanding our exposure and influence in the community. We want you to be a part of your association! See you at the next GM meeting!
I want to thank all of you that have volunteered and taken on positions within the organizations. We could not do what we do with out you, we are a large association and it takes a lot of people to make it strong. All of the positions: coordinators, chairpersons, board and committee members, coaches, team moms, etc. are volunteer positions, there are no paid positions. The more people we have to help, the easier it is on everyone and the better DAA can be. Thanks to all for your support!

WELFARE // MISSY JASPER
It has been brought to my attention that DAA has lost another friend of our organization. Last month, Kerstin Goodin, who was a cheerleading team mom for many years, passed away from a heart attack at the age of 36. Kerstin is survived by her husband Keith and her two children, Larissa and Jordan.
There will be a fundraiser held to help benefit her children. It will be on Saturday, February 13th at Maloney’s from 7pm Close. There will be a live band, auctions, and split the pot. If you are unable to attend but would like to donate, donations can be made at 5/3 bank to the Kerstin Goodin Fund.
If you are aware of any illnesses or deaths regarding Active Members, Hall of Famers or their families. please Contact Missy Jasper at 910-4403 or MKJasper@Roadrunner.com.
