WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT // KEN DOLCH

Another successful year for the Skirt Game, in fact the 2nd best donation total in the history of this one of a kind event!  A HUGE THANK YOU to the Skirt Game committee who work so hard all year round to help the needy in our community and to the DAA members and families who played in and supported this event. Nothing else like it, only in DELHI!!!!!!  Please make plans to be at our September meeting as the recipients will be in attendance to receive their funds.

I would also like to congratulate our newest Hall of Fame member, Mike "Toad" Borros. He has contributed to our organization for many years and is very deserving of this honor. A complete list of all the DAA Hall of Famers can be found on our website, www.daasports.com.

Our Capital Improvements Raffle will take place at our September meeting. The prizes are as follows; 1st place $500.00, 2nd place $300.00, and 3rd place $200.00. You do not have to be present to win but if you are, you can collect the BIG prize money that evening!

Should the late sign-up be placed on a team, the late sign-up will be accessed a $20.00 fee plus all applicable fees. Should your funds not process, there is a $35.00 bounced check fee.

REMINDER: Coaches/Coordinators with our Fall Sports programs underway, PLEASE make sure the Parents Code of Ethics and the Coaches Code of Ethics as well as any medical forms needed are signed and turned in by everyone before they take the field.

Also, if you are intending on coaching any team in our organization you must be registered in our background check database.  NO ONE will be permitted on the fields coaching the children without having registered in this database. Please contact myself, Tony Hover or the coordinator of the sport you are assisting for more details.

Coaches- Please make every attempt to make our general membership meetings. It is written in our by-laws that you must attend at least three meetings a year to be a coach and a member in good standing in our organization. The general membership meeting is an informational meeting, where team reports for all of our sports are given and we would like to know how your teams are doing. We need your attendance and your involvement.

1st VICE PRESDIENT //GARY BRUMMETT

The July 2009 DAA Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing was a huge success. Our thanks to the 96 golfers and another half dozen people who worked behind the scenes to make it happen. The weather (and corn) was perfect even if the golf wasn't. Speaking of that, Foster's team did not come in last this year. Seriously a great time was had by all. We are already discussing how to make next years bigger and better.

After all expenses, we were able to put $2,314.75 away for future DAA Athletes.

See yaw next year

Gary Grummet / Kurt  Mechley
Co- Chair Golf Outing

2nd VICE PRESIDENT // DON JASPER

Again, I want to promote involvement in our organization.  If you have a child that signed up to play sport for DAA, you are a member.  You are invited and encouraged to attend our regular monthly meetings the third Thursday of every month at the Delhi Lodge.  For DAA to grow and meet the needs and desires you, its members, we need input.  The more people involved the better DAA will be!
