DAA Welfare Guidelines

AMENDED NOVEMBER 1998

The following outlines the Welfare Committee Guidelines as approved by the Executive Board and shall be incorporated to the Delhi Athletic Association By-Laws, Rules and Documentation booklet:

• DEFINITIONS

Active Member: Includes one of the following:

1) Member of Delhi Athletic Association as defined as a member in good standing as
outlined in Article III, Section Five (5) of the Code of Regulations of The Delhi Hills Athletic Association, Inc., or

2) Hall of Fame Member as defined in Article VI of the Code of Regulations of The
Delhi Hills Athletic Association, Inc.

Immediate Family Member: Includes the following: Spouse and Children (natural, adopted or step) of an Active Member.

Family Member: Includes the following: Father, Mother, Sister, Brother of an Active Member.

• DEATHS

Active Member: Floral arrangement, fruit basket or cash donation to specified charity or
organization by family of Active Member not to exceed $50.00. The Welfare Chairperson will use his or her discretion.

Immediate Family Member: Floral arrangement, fruit basket or cash donation to specified
charity or organization by family of Active Member not to exceed $35.00. The Welfare Chairperson will use his or her discretion.

Family Member: A sympathy card shall be sent to Active Member.

• ILLNESS

Active Member, Immediate Family Member or Family Member: A get well card shall be
sent to applicable member.

• WISHES AND REQUESTS

All wishes and requests of those individuals who qualify as a recipient of the Welfare Committee
shall be honored at all times.

• SPECIAL EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES
Any and all special extenuating circumstances shall be presented to and voted on by the entire Executive Board.
