The Team Manager / Head Coach is first and foremost a leader amongst youth. By their conduct and attitude they should be setting a pattern through which will be molded the ideal character for each and every player. Clean play, sportsmanship and the enjoyment of play should be stressed over winning games.
The Manager / Head Coach should provide opportunity for as many players as possible rather than develop outstanding champion teams. They should be impartial in the judgment and personal attention to all individual players and teams in Delhi Athletic Association.
Each Manager / Head Coach should continually strive to promote Delhi Athletic Association through regular attendance at meetings, friendly relations with other managers and being well informed regarding Delhi Athletic Association regulations and procedures. They should not at any time abuse the privileges extended to them as a Manager of Delhi Athletic Association.
The Manager / Head Coach is in complete charge of his/her respective team and is accountable to Delhi Athletic Association for all actions displayed by his/her team and fans.
The Manager / Head Coach should attempt to teach responsibility and respect for team equipment, practice fields and playing fields and the prevention of any and all vandalism.
The Manager / Head Coach should instruct players and parents that the umpires / referees are in complete charge of the game and that no unnecessary riding of the umpires / referees will be tolerated.
The Manager / Head Coach should endeavor to raise the standards of all coaches and players of his/her team to the highest level of sportsmanship in team play and in fair play. That is, teach coaches and players to Win Without Boasting and Lose Without Alibis.
The Manager / Head Coach should encourage and promote the interest of Delhi Athletic Association through parents, business people, civic groups, umpires, referees and coaches. They should try to obtain respect of citizens in their community. They should always keep in mind that the Delhi Athletic Association is non-sectarian, non-commercial and non-political.
